Great news Nubs,

Whilst I would rather be there in the flesh, watching the Town on TV is the next best thing.

The last time I can recall watching Merthyr Live on the Google box was the away leg in the now demolished Strikers when we lost narrowly to Atalanta in Bergamo.

Like a 1980s adhesive sniffer in Studios 1 & 2 cinema, I will be glued to the screen tomorrow.

Thanks.

There is a game fee to watch this live unless you hold a season ticket with Kettering. Any one know how much and who you pay it to.perhaps we can have a large tv in the centre of the pitch a pp.Or more realistically can it be televised in weblys

No doubt you were at the ground watching the Walsall FA Cup match in person rather than on Sky.

I remember watching Merthyr in an FAW Premier Cup game on the BBC in about 1998.

Correct Imp.

I remember Steve Williams scoring his goal and later in the game with me being annoyed at the female streaker invading the pitch- because we were on the attack and had the ball-

Great night - the best in recent memory to see the huge home crowd and the buzz of an FACup banana skin for Walsall- which nearly came to pass.

If anyone has figured out the answer to Scamp's question, let us know. No explanation that I can see on the Poppies site about how an away team fan can pay to watch.

I have emailed the site to see if a one-off fee can be paid.

Don't really want a season ticket for Kettering particularly.

Especially as I have never held one for Merthyr.

If you go to poppiestv.ketteringtownfc.com, register, then press Poppies Tv at the top and follow the on screen instructions.
Cost is £8.

Sadly not. However, you can buy your own beer and read the Tiverton programme at half time. Wink

Great to watch a long distance away game like this.

Town had plenty of possession but offered less up front than a Ken the Mattel barbie doll.

Need some height and power up front.

I'd put I as a video nasty!

Boz is pretty much spot-on. A striker is much needed.

This was the sort of game where you would hope we could have nicked a point and come home happy. We had almost as much possession as Kettering. The big difference was that they took nearly all their chances, while we wasted just about the only one we had. On the balance of play, we certainly didn't deserve to lose by five goals, but our strike force is just about non-existent at the moment.
Let's hope we can make amends against Slough on Tuesday - onwards and upwards.
