Player of the Season

Post  MartyrMann on Sun Mar 26, 2017 1:49 pm

Maybe a bit early for this but who are people thinking for Player of the Season.

For me it's easily Ash Evans

Absolutely Marblelous

Post  Boz1964 on Sun Mar 26, 2017 2:16 pm

Scott Barrow has shown his quality throughout the season.

Adam Davies has been his usual consistent self.

Tancock has grown game on game.

Traylor in the early part of the season was outstanding but it is hard to keep up genius and flair for 40+ games.

The Qatari exile reckons that Keyon Refell is the best player he has ever seen up the park ( in over 15 years).

Big Mac at the Back has been a giant.

And Prosser is simply a hairy goal machine.

This last quarter usually sees Corey Jenkins shine.

But I think Rustic knows there is only one player of the season for me.

The only man that would try and take the ball of a lion of Longleat.

Out to Grass

Post  Boz1964 on Mon Mar 27, 2017 12:49 am

Sorry but Marty the Zebra hasn't earned her stripes as far as I am concerned .

She looks a bit of a big head, has no stamina (doesn't last the full ninety minutes) has a poor scoring record and unlike Ashley Evans runs at the first sign of a Lion of Longleat.

I am going to start chants to make 'Marty's ass grass' and 'sack the herd'.

After all she hasn't added anything towards our 'survival' in this League.

Yes there is only one for me, bearing in mind what has happened to the two previous winners, one came back as the grass was not greener on the other side of the border, I will not use reverse phsychology and break up the Merthyr bards bromance, guess who?.

I'll throw my hat in and go for traylor,as for the mascot well Swansea have the swan,Cardiff the bluebirds.
Why not keep the bird theme going and pick a bird from the tit family!!

Bumpkin 'straw' poll

Post  Boz1964 on Tue Mar 28, 2017 1:16 am

Well I have to admit you had been stumped at first Rustic with your selection.

I assumed you must have made your choice on ex-players day.

I realised it was too many letters for Vin Diesel.

It must be a player with an affinity for Castlemaine.

Then I realised with your bucolic background he must also be a 'tractor boy'.

It must also be a player whose language would make a linesman blush and see red.

Someone whose language was so bad that it would be beeped off even Channel 4.

Therefore taking into account all these factors and given the fact his relative was 'countrified' like you by having a farm.

Then it had to Curtis McDonald.

We'll need "Miss Marples" on this site before long "Bromance"...count the crosses etc.The vote will be confidential and we will all have our own view I'm sure none of the candidates need election agents.
