Quote from a posting on Hereford's Forum:

'The training regime on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8.30 PM in Tewkesbury apparently too much for him.'

This may or may not be correct of course, but IF it is perhaps he found the travelling for it too much.

Quality player and proven at SLP level, would be a welcome addition if we are to maintain our push for a play off place at the very least this season.

'HEREFORD FC have confirmed Merthyr Town have put in an official seven day approach for their former player Adam Davies.
The Bulls full-back wasn't in the squad to face Bridgwater Town on Saturday and was also an unused substitute for Hereford's previous game against Shortwood United.
Davies was Merthyr's player of the year last season and joined Hereford last month.
"Adam Davies wasn't in the squad on Saturday, but at the moment he's still a Hereford player," said Hereford manager Pete Beadle.
"He wasn't well, so wasn't in the squad, but we just get on with it and move on." '

We definitely should bring him back if we can,we cannot afford to say no to a player of is standard if we are serious about promotion.

Nothing wrong with nurturing local homegrown talent - as that's what Progress through Stability is all about.

Sometimes the authentic grass isn't always greener on the other side of Edgar Street.

We need strength in depth in all positions but I doubt if the Father of Pollyanna can achieve a similar comeback ....unless you know a reincarnation spell or two from the Book of the Undead from Karnak eh Nubs?

Heard last week from a friend who is a Hereford fan ( if there such a thing ) that Greener was on his way back to Merthyr, maybe he meant Adam.

Was referring to the Hereford Centre Forward, 27 goals already this season. 52 goals last season and top scorer for Didcot in 2014/2015 with 57 goals. Nothing to do with Hayley or Juliet's Dad.

What, a friend or a Hereford fan?

To be honest we wouldn't need Greeny as he would be a very short term acquisition for an outfield player whereas Adam is still one for the future as well as now.

Ownes, are you referring to that Old Mexican Puppeteer - the one who has had the Rooney-style bum- plant or the one who plays for Oswestry Town third team scored 20 goals in three appearances , two of which were from the subs bench ?

'Leave' it out

Post  Boz1964 on Tue Nov 22, 2016 8:20 am

Well Ownes, even slaves have their shackles released some time ( and of course your former prisoners).

Annual Leave is a great thing IF someone covers your job.

Sadly not in my case....I get to do the house chores AND this weeks work when I return...but then again having a job in Merthyr I shouldn't complain as it makes me a celebrity....Boz

Post  Boz1964 on Wed Nov 30, 2016 12:36 pm

The best news I have heard for a while on the playing front.

Great to see local talent playing in front of the Merthyr Faithful.

Strength in depth is one of the main ingredients that wins you League Play off positions.
