Friendly Tuesday 26 July

Tuesday sees a visit from Welsh League outfit Penybont FC for the last home friendly before our visit to Hereford next Saturday. Kick off is 7.30pm and all pay £5 except youngsters under 15 who are freee.

A 16-page edition of the match programme will available for this game costing just £1.00.

Contents include:

Yes it was. Very impressed by him. The centre half who played alongside Gethin in the first half also caught my eye.

Name given on Twitter as Shane Parry. If it's the same one, he's a former Cardiff Academy player who was with Risca last season, age about 19 and Merthyr-born.

Well the first half was like watching paint dry,then we had a ray of sunshine arrive in the second half and that was Scott Barrow,i hope they have signed him fresh blood is needed before the season begins.

Shane Parry as signed according to the Merthyr Town website no mention of Scott Barrow,it will be a shame if we miss out on him.

He would be a great signing, but you'd think a player who spent last season with a League 2 club and the previous three or four in the Conference with Tamworth and Macclesfield would be snapped up by a higher placed club than us.

If we don't think we are capable of signing a player why bother playing him in a friendly,maybe he may want to stay local.Well we can hope I suppose.
