Bloody hell - you cannot win.

For a few years we've had moans that people over on the Bank can't hear announcements and now, with the new tannoy system in place they are too loud.

Perhaps we can turn the system off and use semaphore instead.

With all due respect old sod whilst it's great time hear the announcements it's nigh on impossible to conduct a conversation during the half time interval and as I'm the last to complain about the excellent work conducted at the ground a lower volume would be appreciated that's all.

At the risk of opening up myself to the floodgates - I had no problem talking to JC during the h/t interval.

Got a really simple to the problem - go out of the W**k Bank to chat if its too loud!

Do you suggest we all move out of the stand to have a simple conversation. What nonsense. It would be far simpler to turn the volume down a notch or two. Not very difficult surely. Let's be sensible please.

Yes. Or maybe speak louder. Or have a more complex conversation!

Many of us old folk over the bank are a little hard on hearing so we are more than happy with the tannoy system Smile Smile

As someone who has previously found it nigh on impossible to hear the tannoy, I was very pleased to be able to hear the team lists and 50/50 numbers loud and clear - but I would agree that, if it could be turned down ever so slightly as a radio can be, that would do no harm.

It's a bit weird, though, that at the end of a cup-winning season, a top-ten finish in our first season after promotion and marvellous new facilities that would be the envy of hundreds of other non-league clubs, the hot topic on the forum seems to be the tannoy volume!!!!!

Agree Hirwaunman.  SJ & the entire squad need to be congratulated for what they have achieved in our 1st season back in the SLP, especially with the amount of games they have played, 46 in the League plus all the cup games, a tough, gruelling schedule for Part-Time players at any level in the pyramid, so well done & thanks to all concerned for their effort & commitment this season.

The new facilities are superb & a credit to all concerned, however looking at the photographs on Twitter & Facebook of last Saturdays game it just highlighted how tired the remainder of PP looks. Hopefully, some finance can be made available during the close season to have the perimeter walls & the terracing areas painted together with some general cleaning of the Seated areas to bring PP up to a reasonable standard.

Also thanks to everyone who has contributed to this Forum over the entire season your contributions are invaluable & whether we agree or disagree debate is healthy and should be encouraged because after all we all want the same thing a successful team together with a well run business.

I agree with kpt1950 that the members of this forum in the past season have been a credit to the club
We all have different opinions yet the members have conducted themselves in an orderly manner which is a credit to the club--well done keep it up your views are important in the running of the club

I haven't liked to mention it before now, but I've always felt the new floodlights we got a couple of years ago are too bright.

Seriously though, while I agree the announcements are now rather loud I'd rather have them that way than struggle to hear them as before.
