Look on the bright side - by the time the game is re-scheduled we should have Webley's, etc, available.

Good. Our gate would have been affected and for a game like this we deserve a good crowd..We would have all been like drown rats by the time we get to the ground

Looking at the Pic's on twitter, I cannot believe there are pools of water on the pitch, I would have thought there would have been a slope from the middle to each wing to allow run off? All weather my arse.

M76 agreed the rain was exceptional however the pitch should still be designed that the heavenly downpour should flow to the sides of the pitch where it then might pool due to the side drainage not being able to cope with such a deluge and certainly not in the middle.

Heavy rain yes! but an all weather pitch should cope with that, It is common knowledge there have been drainage problems with the pitch since it was installed, time now it was put right.

Was at ground 1:20..surface water at the Dai Miles stand area, was was raising to the surface bubbling, from day one a drainage problem in this area of the pitch.. Yet Barry v tns on 3g no problems. And it hammered down all day there, plus a late ko..

As I said on an earlier post, this needs sorting. Looks like a possible drainage problem.

I thought we were told some time ago (last year?) the initial drainage problems had been put right after much testing of different types of sand (what Peter is referring to).

Ask Barry Town what sand they are using at Jenner Park! because they do not have a problem! Seriously, the drainage issue needs to be resolved.

There was a lot of discussion and information on here in mid-2014 about the drainage problems and the action being taken:

http://mtfcforum.team-talk.net/t2338-3g-pitch-repairs?highlight=pitch+drainage

I seem to remember we were told a change in the type of sand used had done the trick - only reference I can find is this from October 2014:

http://mtfcforum.team-talk.net/t2578-pitch-drainage?highlight=pitch+drainage

We'd certainly had no trouble from that time until yesterday which to me indicates either:

1. A further problem has arisen since then or the solution turned out to be only temporary.

2. The rain yesterday, which started the night before, was so severe and prolonged nothing could have been done about it anyway.
